Butterflies are making their appearance in my studio.

I just love slowing down and studying butterflies and their wings. There are 165,000 known species of butterflies.

Did you know a group of butterflies is called a flutter, and their wings are really clear instead of colorful. The colors & patterns that we see on their wings is created by the reflection of the tiny scales covering them. The beauty of a butterfly! So intricate.

I love saying just enough to make the butterflies come to life on the canvas, but allowing the viewer to fill in the details with their imagination.

Dwell on the beauty throughout your day. You can find it in the smallest of places.
